JONESBORO, Ark. (5/2/18) – Senior throwers Itamar Levi and Calea Carr were chosen for Sun Belt Conference weekly honors following their performances last week, the league office announced Wednesday.
Levi, the Sun Belt Conference Men’s Field Athlete of the Week, improved his school record in the discus throw with a mark of 57.45m (188-6) to win at the Memphis Invitational. With that mark, Levi leads the Sun Belt Conference performance list while ranking ninth in the NCAA West Region and 22nd overall nationally.
Carr, the Sun Belt Conference Women’s Field Athlete of the Week, won the discus throw competition at the Memphis Invitational with a throw of 52.
