Hometown boy good; ASU better

JONESBORO -- Kahron Ross impressed his hometown crowd, but it wasn't nearly enough to slow down a streaking Arkansas State men's basketball team.

Ross, a Jonesboro High School graduated, scored 21 points for Lehigh, but Devin Carter made seven three-pointers on his way to 25 points and ASU won its sixth consecutive game, 97-89, in front of an announced crowd of 2,074 at the Convocation Center.

Carter, who made 8 of 14 shots and 7 of 12 three-pointers, was one of five ASU players to score 10 or more points. Deven Simms came off the bench to score 19 points and grab 8 rebounds, while Rashad Lindsey had 11 points and Connor Kern and Tamas Bruce each had 10 for the Red Wolves, who shot 53.
