TROY, Ala. (9/18/16) – The Arkansas State women’s soccer team battled Troy to a 1-1 draw in a Sun Belt Conference matchup Sunday afternoon at the Troy Soccer Complex.
The double-overtime game was the fourth of the season for the Red Wolves and marked the third time the squad has come away with a draw when taking a match into overtime. It was also the first time in the history of the A-State and Troy series that a game has ended in a tie.
With the tie, Arkansas State is now 2-3-3 on the season and has a mark of 0-1-1 in the league, while Troy moved its overall record to 5-4-2 and is now 1-0-1 through the first two conference games.
