Grantham, Burgess Power A-State Baseball to Victory over Memphis

surrendered two runs in five innings of relief as he helped lead Arkansas State to a 4-3 victory over Memphis Tuesday evening at Tomlinson Stadium.

Grantham entered the game in the fifth inning after taking over for starting pitcher Zachary Patterson and did not give up a run until giving up two runs with two outs in the ninth inning. The senior from Kennett, Mo., struck out seven and gave up just four hits for his second win of the season.

The Red Wolves (22-25) led 4-1 going into the ninth inning, but Memphis (16-33) made things interesting when Zach Schritenthal singled in a two runs to make it a one run ball game, but Grantham came back and got Jake Little to fly out for the final out of the night.
