A-STATE/APP STATE SERIES HISTORY
• A-State leads the all-time series against Appalachian State by a count of 2-1 after taking two-of- three from the Mountaineers last season in Jonesboro. It was the first season in the Sun Belt Conference for the Apps.
• The Red Wolves won game one of last season’s series by a count of 6-1 with David Owen
tossing a complete game for A-State. The team used a five-run sixth inning to pick up the win. In game two, Arkansas State had a 2-0 edge on App State heading into the eighth inning, but a six-run inning for the Mountaineers powered them to a 6-3 win over the Red Wolves.
