SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (9/9/19) – Competing in its first tournament of the 2019-20 season, the Arkansas State women’s golf team shot at a combined 603 (+35) Monday at the Payne Stewart Memorial to complete the 54-hole tournament’s opening two rounds in sixth place among 12 teams.
The Red Wolves recorded a first-round 303 (+19) at the Twin Oaks Country Club and followed with a 300 (+16) for the second 18 holes, ending the day three strokes behind both Creighton (+32) and Wichita State (+32). UTEP shot a 589 (+21) to lead the way while host-school Missouri State stands second at 591 (+23) and Oral Roberts is third after shooting a 597 (+23).
