JONESBORO, Ark. (2/15/16) – Arkansas State senior forward Khadija Brown-Haywood has been named the College Sports Madness Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week after helping the Red Wolves to a pair of victories in the state of Louisiana last week.
Brown-Haywood averaged 21.0 points across two games at Louisiana-Lafayette and Louisiana-Monroe, while also adding 7.5 rebounds and three assists per contest. She finished the week 13-of-23 (56.5 percent) from the field and drained 7-of-13 (53.8 percent) of her 3-point attempts.
The Centralia, Ill., native tied a career-high with 29 points in a 78-64 victory over the Warhawks on Saturday afternoon.
