After looking pedestrian for three quarters, Arkansas State's offense came to life in the fourth quarter.
A 38-yard field goal from Clune Van Andel as time expired lifted the Red Wolves to victory as they outscored South Alabama 12-0 in the final 15 minutes to escape with a 15-14 win Tuesday night at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Ala.
"There was no doubt Clune was going to make it," ASU Coach Butch Jones said. "Dirty, grimy, slimy -- we found a way to get a victory on the road. Anytime you can win on the road obviously is extremely hard.
