@AStateWB Captures SBC Team Academic Award

NEW ORLEANS, La. (3/9/16) – The Arkansas State women’s basketball team was recognized Wednesday on the first day of the Sun Belt Conference Basketball Championships for its outstanding performance in the classroom.

The Red Wolves were honored with the SBC Team Academic Award for having a team GPA of 3.17 the highest of any team in the league. It is the third time in the last four years that Arkansas State has won the Sun Belt’s highest academic honor.

Eight members of the A-State basketball team were also recognized for their success in the classroom. Senior Aundrea Gamble and sophomore Christyal Holloway were named to the Sun Belt Conference’s Commissioner’s list for having a GPA of 3.
