LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (10/2/16) – The Arkansas State women’s soccer team suffered a 2-0 setback to Little Rock Sunday afternoon at the Coleman Sports and Recreation Sports Complex.
Arkansas State (3-6-3, 1-4-1 Sun Belt) went on the attack early in the match and had a good look on goal when Bailey Reed struck a ball from inside the 18-yard box that forced the Trojans’ goalkeeper to make a save to prevent the Red Wolves from taking the early lead just 10 minutes in the game.
Little Rock (7-6-0, 2-3-0) used the momentum of the save, however, to go on the counter attack and scored the first goal of the match when Doro Greulich scored on an empty net after Kelsey Ponder slipped trying to reverse her field on a cross in front of the net.
