JONESBORO, Ark. (10/23/16) – Sarah Price’s goal 53 seconds into the first overtime, her second of the match, gave Georgia Southern a 2-1 victory over the Arkansas State women’s soccer team Sunday afternoon at the A-State Soccer Park.
Despite the loss, A-State still clinched a berth in the Sun Belt Conference tournament after Little Rock defeated Troy. It marks the first appearance in the league’s postseason tournament for the Red Wolves since 2013.
Arkansas State concludes the regular season with a 6-7-3 overall record and will enter the tournament as the league’s No. 7 seed after finishing with a 4-5-1 record in the conference.
