@AStateSoccer Earns Draw with Murray State

JONESBORO, Ark. (9/4/16) – For the third consecutive game the Arkansas State women’s soccer team took an opponent into double-overtime and for the second time during that span the Red Wolves emerged with a tie, earning a 1-1 decision against Murray State Sunday afternoon at Cruchin Field.

A-State (1-2-2) trailed by goal for much of the second half after the Racers (1-2-1) scored just two minutes into the period to take the advantage on a goal by Harriet Withers over the outstretched hands of Kelsey Ponder.

The Red Wolves battled back and had several scoring opportunities but were unable to convert until Tayler Carter put home a free kick with over 12 minutes remaining in regulation.
