JONESBORO, Ark. (2/6/16) – The Arkansas State men’s basketball team rallied from a 14-point second half deficit to take a late five-point lead, but couldn’t hang on in the closing minutes of a 71-70 Sun Belt Conference setback against Troy Saturday night at the Convocation Center.

The Red Wolves, led by three players scoring in double figures, saw their 68-63 lead with 3:09 left evaporate as the Trojans went on an 8-0 run capped by a pair of free throws from Daniel Peace with just 13 ticks remaining on the clock. A-State’s ensuing trip down the floor saw Devin Carter, who finished with 15 points, fouled on a three-point attempt with three second left, sending him to the line for the potential game-tying free throws.
