HOUSTON, Texas (11/5/17) – The Arkansas State women’s bowling team went 2-1 on the final day of the Track Kat Klash to finish third in the event being held at Emerald Lanes in Houston, Texas.
A-State (18-8) earned the third seed in the best-of-seven Baker tournament after moving up from 11th place at the conclusion of day one. The Red Wolves began the day with a matchup against Maryland Eastern Shore, the fourth seed in the tournament, and dropped game one 191-179, but reeled off four straight wins (233-203, 222-202, 221-215, 218-175) to defeat the Hawks.
The Red Wolves advanced to play McKendree for the right to go to the championship match and jumped in front 2-0 (258-178, 197-173) before the Bearcats pinned three straight wins (209-130, 269-183, 202-194) to go ahead 3-2.
