JONESBORO, Ark. (5/24/16) – Arkansas State outfielder Ty White has been named the College Sports Madness Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week after helping the Red Wolves to a 3-1 mark during last week’s action the online publication announced Tuesday.
A native of Gladstone, Mo., White hit .600 (12-for-20) with a team-best 15 total bases and six RBIs to tie for the team high in a week featuring three A-State victories, including an 8-6 decision over No. 6 Ole Miss and taking two games of a three-game set against in-state rival Little Rock. He also scored four runs and had a double and a triple during the four contests.
