JONESBORO, Ark. (2/2/16) – Arkansas State senior infielder Tanner Ring has been selected to the 2016 Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference baseball team, while the Red Wolves were picked to finish eighth in the preseason poll the league office announced Tuesday.
A native of Batesville, Ark., Ring was selected to the team as a third baseman after a 2015 campaign that saw him post a .275 batting average with a .368 on-base percentage. The senior was one of three Red Wolves to register a slugging percentage over .400 (.401) after hitting the third-most homers on the team with four.
