JONESBORO, Ark. (7/19/16) – The Arkansas State baseball team has earned one of the American Baseball Coaches Association’s Team Academic Excellence Awards for registering a team GPA higher than 3.0 during the 2015-16 academic year the ABCA announced Tuesday.
The Red Wolves were one of 146 teams from the Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA, NJCAA, and high school levels to pick up the inaugural honor. A-State, winners of the Sun Belt Conference Team Academic Award earlier this year, were one of 29 Division I teams to claim the accolade. Additionally, Arkansas State was one of two teams from the SBC recognized along with Georgia State.
