JONESBORO, Ark. (3/5/17) – The Arkansas State baseball team fell behind 6-1 after three innings and couldn’t complete a comeback in an 11-4 loss to Cincinnati Sunday afternoon in the series finale at Tomlinson Stadium.
Cincinnati (4-6) was able to load the bases in the top of the second inning on a single, catcher’s interference, and error on A-State (8-5) after a pop up was dropped in shallow right field when Jake Bakamus collided with Jeremy Brown. A.J. Bumpass stepped up to the plate with one out and ripped a triple down the right-field line to clear the bases for a 3-0 Bearcats edge.
