@AStateBaseball Falls in 11 Innings to UNO

NEW ORLEANS, La. (3/2/18) – The Arkansas State baseball team got a career-high eight innings out of Bradey Welsh, but New Orleans’ Darren Willis singled up the middle with two outs in the bottom of the 11th inning to send A-State to a 2-1 loss in the series opener Friday night at Maestri Field.

UNO (5-5) first baseman Jacob McFadden singled to begin the bottom of the 11th off A-State (3-3) reliever Jesse Kutzke and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Kutzke walked the next batter, but recorded outs via strikeout and fielder’s choice to put runners on the corners with two outs.
