@AStateBaseball Drops Series Opener at ULM 2-0

MONROE, La. (3/23/18) – The Arkansas State baseball team got a solid pitching performance, but couldn’t solve the ULM pitching staff in a 2-0 loss Friday night to open a three-game set at Warhawk Field in Monroe, La.

ULM (12-9, 2-2 SBC) was able to score single runs in the third and seventh innings and that was all they would need. The first came around on a sacrifice fly by Johnny DeLaCruz after Pierce Khan reached on an error to the begin the third inning. The second run was in the bottom of the seventh when Brendan Jordan tripled on a ball that was just out of a diving Logan Andersen’s reach in center field and he came home on a RBI single by Khan.
