A-State Yields 4-3 Decision to Appalachian State

JONESBORO, Ark. (3/17/19) – The Arkansas State women’s tennis team fell to Appalachian State 4-3 Sunday morning in a Sun Belt Conference match at the A-State Tennis Complex.

Pornpawee Pramethong, Shannon O'Brien and Amelia Guevremont each captured points for the Red Wolves, but it was not enough as the Mountaineers took an early advantage with the doubles point and won three more matches in singles’ play to take the overall match victory.

Pramethong looked dominant in her performance on court one with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Teodora Sevo. The newcomer never trailed in either set, but the match away with a strong showing in the game final game of the second set to finish the weekend 1-0 after being just a point away from securing a win on Saturday when her match suspended.
