MEMPHIS, Tenn. (9/16/17) – The Arkansas State women’s cross country team (50 points) ran to victory at the Rhodes Invitational contested at Shelby Farms Park Saturday morning. The men’s squad (107 points) was led by five freshmen to a fourth place finish.
For the second-consecutive meet, sophomore Anaelle Charles paced the women’s squad. Charles raced to a time of 18:34.4 on the 5,000-meter course to finish second among the collegiate racers. Sophomore Elizabeth Gillette joined the top-five, clocking a time of 18:45.1 to place fourth. Sophomore Sammy Brainard (19:14.9) finished ninth while freshman Pauline Meyer (19:40.
