JONESBORO, Ark. (3/4/17) – Arkansas State senior Julie Gauguery improved her singles’ record to 8-2 on the year, but it was not enough as the A-State tennis team suffered a 5-2 loss to Central Arkansas Sunday afternoon at the UCA Tennis Courts.

Gauguery, who has now won eight of 10 matches to start the year, defeated Pornpawee Pramething 6-3, 6-4 as she continued her impressive start the season. Sabina Jeresic also captured her third victory when Hee-Jin Oh retired from the match with Jeresic leading 5-2 in the first set.

“We played really well in several spots but we just could not make it last long enough to break them down to come away the wins,” A-State tennis coach Kel Lange said.
