LAFAYETTE, La. (3/26/16) – The Arkansas State women’s tennis team lost to Texas State 4-1 Saturday morning at the Ragin’ Cajun Tennis Complex on the University of Louisiana-Lafayette campus.
Junior Julie Gauguery captured the Red Wolves’ point with a 1-6, 6-1, 6-3 victory over Eva Dench in the No. 1 match. Gauguery rebounded after losing four straight points in the opening set to claim the final two sets by a wide margin to earn the point for her team.
Victoria Roberts had a strong showing in the No. 2 match, which included a 6-3 victory in the opening set.
