LAFAYETTE, La. (3/25/16) – The Arkansas State women’s tennis team opened Sun Belt Conference play with a 4-0 loss to UT Arlington at the Ragin’ Cajuns Tennis Complex on the Louisiana-Lafayette campus Friday morning.
Victoria Pisani and Sofia Krsmanovic captured the only the Red Wolves’ victory of the morning with a 7-5 win over Jessica Birowksi and Astrid Gehre in the No. 2 match.
In other doubles’ competition, Julie Gagurey and Victoria Roberts dropped a tightly contested match to Elizabeth Thoms and Angeles de los Rios 7-5, while Chiara Stefanov and Sabina Jeresic fell to Agustina Serio and Valeria Lopez 6-3 in the other match.
