JONESBORO, Ark. (2/21/15) — The Arkansas State women’s tennis suffered a 4-1 setback to Central Arkansas in its 2016 dual match home opener Sunday morning at the indoor tennis facility at RidgePointe Country Club.
Freshman Shelby King continued an impressive spring season with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over QiLi Ma in singles’ competition. King dominated throughout her two set victory, jumping on Ma earlier on and closing out the first set with three straight game victories. She fell behind early in the second set, but rallied to close out the second set to push her record to 2-2 on the season.
