A-State Tennis Drops a Heartbreaker Regular Season Finale

ARLINGTON, Texas (4/8/17) – The Arkansas State women’s tennis team lost its regular season finale to Texas State 4-3 after fighting back from an early deficit to force a thrilling match clincher in the No. 2 match.

A-State fell behind 3-0 after losing the doubles’ point and the first pair of singles’ matches, but Julie Gauguery, Tori Roberts and Allison Quammen won all three of their matches, each in three sets, to even the match at three points each. The Red Wolves’ Sabina Jeresic and Texas State’s Pippa Carr was the last match to be decided and Carr clinched the victory by winning the tiebreak in the third set to give the Bobcats the win.
