SPARTANBURG, S.C. (11/5/16) – The Arkansas State women’s tennis team continued play at the Wofford Invite Saturday afternoon at the Reeves Tennis Center.
The doubles’ team of Julie Gauguery and Allison Quammen captured a doubles title with a pair of victories. The pair defeated Wofford’s Curran Carver and Megan King 6-3 in the semifinals and then down Coastal Carolina’s Maria Khomchenko and Alexa Tiefel 7-6 in the finals for the title.
In the other doubles’ draw the pairing of Victoria Pisani and Victoria Roberts advances to the finals of the consolation bracket with a 6-2 win over UNC Ashville’s Christin Louw and Lauren Watson Steel, but then lost to Western Carolina’s Elizabeth Ansari and Madison Riley 6-2 in the finals.
