A-State Stands Atop Leaderboard at Border Olympics

LAREDO, Texas (3/9/18) – Led by three players finishing the Border Olympics’ first two rounds among the top-25 individuals, the Arkansas State men’s golf team ended Friday’s play at the 54-hole tournament in first place out of 17 teams that includes four top-100-nationally-ranked programs.

Ranked No. 68 in the country by GolfStat, the Red Wolves shot a combined 567 to put it two strokes ahead of second-place Campbell and Sam Houston State. In addition to the Camels and Bearkats, ranked No. 60 and No. 69, respectively, A-State also leads No. 61 Houston and No. 89 UT San Antonio.
