NASHVILLE, Tenn. (8/24/17) – Ellen Lundy’s header in the 98th minute of the first overtime period lifted Lipscomb to a 1-0 victory over Arkansas State at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex Thursday evening.
The Red Wolves and Lady Bisons battled to a 0-0 score at the end of regulation and looked poised to go into a second overtime until A-State was called for a foul just outside the 18-yard box on the left side of the goal. Lipscomb’s Jade Abarca sent the free kick into the box and Lundy was able to redirect the kick into the net for the game-winning goal.
