A-State Signs Three Highly-Decorated Players

JONESBORO, Ark. (11/19/18) – Arkansas State head men’s golf coach Mike Hagen has announced that IMG Junior World champion Adam Thorp, three-time Kansas high school all-state selection Cade Uhlenhake and the NJCAA’s seventh-ranked player in Michael Weppernig have all signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play for the Red Wolves starting in 2019-20.

Thorp, who joined the likes of Tiger Woods and Jason Day as winners of the IMG Junior World Championships, is from Canberra, Australia, and will have four years of eligibility at A-State. He has claimed multiple other titles this year, including the NSW Country Junior Championships, Belconnen Open, Fairbairn Open and Belconnen Club Championships.
