A-State Posts Season-Low Score on Spring Break Shootout's Opening Day

DADE CITY, Fla. (3/11/19) – The Arkansas State women’s golf team shot a combined 585, including a season-low 290 for the first round, to complete the Spring Break Shootout’s initial 36 holes Monday at the Lake Jovita Golf Club in a tie for sixth place among 15 teams.

The Red Wolves had three players at least tie their season-low score in one of the first two rounds and ended the day with seniors Aracelly Jimenez Rios and Beth Ann Compton among the top-25 individual leaders.

A-State’s opening-round 290 marked its fourth lowest score since at least the 1998-99 season, while it shot a 295 for the second 18 holes to tie its third lowest round this year.
