A-State Places School-Record Six on All-American Scholar Team

JONESBORO, Ark. (7/7/16) – Arkansas State has not only placed a school-record number of student-athletes on the Women’s Golf Coaches Association’s (WGCA) 2015-16 All-American Scholar Team, its six selections also tied the second most in the nation.

Announced this week, the 828 WGCA All-American Scholars included A-State’s Maci Brooks, Sarah Childers, Beth Ann Compton, Aracelly Jimenez Rios, Olivia Loiacano and Emma Miller.

“I am so proud of these young ladies for their success on the golf course and in the classroom,” said A-State head coach M.J. Desbiens Shaw. “Their hard work and dedication has made them earn this amazing award.
