GOODYEAR, Ariz. (2/25/17) – The Arkansas State men’s golf team began play at the Loyola Intercollegiate Saturday by posting its second best single-round score this season, shooting a 282 at the Palm Valley Golf Course to place it tied for third among 16 teams.
Freshman Zan Luka Stirn carded a season-best 69 and was one of three players completing the opening round among the top-25 individual leaders for A-State, which is playing its first spring tournament this season. The Red Wolves are tied with Seton Hall and Connecticut, trail second-place UT Martin by just two strokes and are within seven of leader Eastern Michigan.
