JONESBORO, Ark. (5/26/16) – Arkansas State head men’s golf coach Mike Hagen announced Thursday that 2016 Slovenian amateur champion Zan Luka Stirn has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Red Wolves beginning in the 2016-17 season.
A member of the Slovenia national team since age 14, Stirn is listed as the No. 260 player in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR). He is a multiple junior national Slovenia champion who helped lead his team a 22nd place finish in the International Golf Federation’s (IGF) 2014 World Amateur Team Championships.
“I’ve been recruiting Zan Luka for almost the entire year and watched him play in multiple tournaments where he has been very impressive, so we’re excited to have him joining our team,” said Hagen.
