SANDESTIN, Fla. (4/23/18) – The Arkansas State men’s golf team improved its score from the first round to the second by 27 strokes, but climbed just two places from eleventh to ninth Monday at the Sun Belt Conference Championships after shooting a 286 for the second 18 holes of competition at the Raven Golf Club.

The Red Wolves posted the second lowest team score of the day as all five competing A-State players lowered their score from the first to the second rounds, helping them make up some ground on the 12-team field. A-State’s 36-hole 599 has them tied with ninth place Louisiana and within five strokes of seventh-place South Alabama, but they will enter tomorrow’s final round of stroke play 11 back of fourth-place UT Arlington.
