JONESBORO, Ark. (11/15/17) – Arkansas State head women’s golf coach M.J. Desbiens Shaw has announced that high school standouts Olivia Schmidt and Madison Smith, both from Oklahoma, have signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Red Wolves starting in 2018-19.
Schmidt most recently helped lead Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School to a fifth-place finish in the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) Class 5A State Tournament, where she placed fourth as an individual during her junior season. The year prior, she finished runner-up at the state tournament.
The Edmond, Okla., native was named to the 2017 VYPE Fan’s Choice All-OKC Girls Golf Team following her junior campaign, while she was also honored on the 2016 OKC Girls All-VYPE Team.
