JONESBORO, Ark. (10/22/25) – Arkansas State University and head volleyball coach Brian Gerwig reached a new agreement that extends his contract to July 1, 2029, Vice Chancellor for Intercollegiate Athletics Chris Pezman announced Wednesday.
"Our volleyball program has thrived under Coach Gerwig's leadership, and we are eager to build on that momentum moving forward," said Pezman. "Brian's vision and dedication to both the athletic and academic success of our student-athletes will allow this program to continue to excel and compete at a high level."
The 2024 Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year produced the second-largest turnaround over a head coach's first three seasons in program history, improving A-State's record from 9-22 in 2022 to 28-6 in 2024.
