A-State Football Receives Proclamation from Jonesboro Mayor

JONESBORO, Ark. (2/2/16) – Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin issued an official proclamation at Tuesday night’s City Council meeting recognizing the Arkansas State football program for its accomplishments during the 2015 season, which included the team’s fourth Sun Belt Conference championship in five seasons and school-record fifth straight bowl appearance.

The proclamation honors the Red Wolves as a participant in the 2015 New Orleans Bowl. A-State became the only FBS team in the nation to win four league championships in five seasons and has a 33-6 SBC record across that time span.

A-State head coach Blake Anderson, along with Director of Player Personnel Dave Roberson, senior cornerback Rocky Hayes, senior quarterback Fredi Knighten and senior punter Luke Ferguson were on hand to accept the proclamation and a key to the city from Mayor Perrin.
