MANHATTAN, Kan. (9/21/21) – A 1-under par 71 helped Olivia Schmidt to a tie for 10th as the Arkansas State women’s golf team wrapped up play at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational in eighth place among 10 teams.
Entering the final round tied for 23rd, Schmidt was among five players to go below par Tuesday. With the 1-under par 71, Schmidt moved up 13 spots to a tie for 10th with a total of 223 (+7) for her 13th career top-10 finish and second in as many tournaments this season. Casey Sommer gained 12 spots on the leaderboard to finish tied for 35th at 15-over par 235 following a final round 1-over par 73.
