HATTIESBURG, Miss. (5/3/25) – Arkansas State baseball (23-23, 11-12 SBC) fell behind early and could not recover in an 8-0 defeat at Southern Miss (34-13, 17-6 SBC) on Saturday night at Pete Taylor Park.
(1-1) made his third career start, surrendering two runs (both earned) on three hits over 3.0 innings pitched. The Red Wolves' pitching staff recorded 10-plus strikeouts for the fifth consecutive game, tallying 11 in the contest.
The Golden Eagles broke a scoreless stalemate with a two-run home run in the third, claiming a 2-0 advantage. In the next inning, a fielder's choice and RBI-single added another pair of runs before a two-run double extended the deficit to six.
