A-State Drops Conference Opener at ULM, 28-16

MONROE, La. (9/27/25) – The Arkansas State football team (1-4, 0-1 SBC) held the advantage early at ULM (3-1, 1-0 SBC), but could not hold on in a 28-16 decision on Saturday afternoon at Malone Stadium.

Junior quarterback Jaylen Raynor completed 29 passes on 46 attempts to accumulate 288 yards through the air. Chauncey Cobb accounted for 126 receiving yards on eight receptions while Corey Rucker recorded nine receptions for 120 yards.

AG McGhee, Brandon Barnes, and Aaron Alexander led the defense with six total tackles while Brandon Greil recorded the Red Wolves' lone turnover forced in the contest.
