COLLEGE STATION, Texas (5/27/21) – On Thursday at E.B. Cushing Stadium, the Arkansas State track and field team finished the second day of action at the NCAA West Preliminaries.
Grace Flowers saved her best throw for last, throwing a personal-best 60.60m (198-10.0) in the hammer throw to break All-American Calea Carr's record of 60.32m (197-11.0) set in 2018. However, due to an issue with the laser while measuring during the first flight, all marks for those in that flight were invalidated. The flight will be re-contested starting at 11 a.m. CT Friday in College Station prior to the men's throwing events later in the day.
