A-State Climbs One Place at Louisville Regional

SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. (5/14/19) – Led by Julien Sale’s team-best 70, the Arkansas State men’s golf team shot a second-round 290 Monday at the University of Louisville Golf Club and moved up one spot in the Louisville Regional standings into a tie for ninth place.

The Red Wolves’ score marked a five-stroke improvement over their first-round total yesterday and was the seventh lowest of the day among the 13-team field. A-State now holds a combined 585 score as it stands tied with Mississippi State and is six strokes behind eighth-place West Virginia.

While A-State was able to improve both its score and standing, it will enter tomorrow’s final round 14 strokes behind fifth-place Louisville, which shot a 291 today.
