A-State Claims Bob Sitton Invitational Championship

DALLAS (3/16/17) – The Arkansas State men’s golf team claimed its second tournament championship of the season Thursday, winning the Bob Sitton Invitational with a 54-hole 852 that placed the Red Wolves atop the 24-team field.

Also winning the Duck Commander Intercollegiate on Nov. 1, the Red Wolves now have two titles and three top-four finishes over their last four tournaments played. A-State’s 852 total was its second lowest three-round score this year behind only its 849 recorded Feb. 25-27 at the Loyola Intercollegiate.

A-State was led by four players finishing among the top 12 golfers, including freshman Zan Luka Stirn with his first career individual championship.
