LINCOLN, Neb. (3/4/17) – The Arkansas State women’s bowling team registered a come-from-behind 4-3 victory over host Nebraska to claim the Big Red Invitational Championship Saturday at Sun Valley Lanes in Lincoln, Neb.
A-State (69-28) fell behind 2-1 in in the championship match to the Cornhuskers after losses in game one (218-203) and game three (226-203) sandwiched around a game two win (229-204). However, the Red Wolves bowled 10 consecutive strikes to finish game four and won 280-206 to even things at 2-2. Arkansas State rolled a 210 to Nebraska’s 180 in game five, but the Cornhuskers won game six 216-193 to force game seven.
