SMYRNA, Tenn. (3/18/18) – The third-ranked Arkansas State women’s bowling team finished third in the Columbia 300 Music City Classic held at Smyrna Bowling Center in Smyrna, Tenn., Sunday afternoon.
The Red Wolves went 1-2 during Sunday’s championship bracket as they faced No. 2 McKendree in the first round, losing 4-3 (191-167, 195-213, 186-164, 144-184, 199-175, 191-231, 189-202). In the second round, the squad lost 4-2 to No. 5 Sam Houston State (234-189, 188-212, 178-194, 164-201, 209-191, 182-247).
In the final match of the day, A-State faced No. 16 Saint Francis University (Penn.), as they came out on top, winning 4-1 (165-171, 235-194, 268-193, 189-171, 185-154) to land in third place to conclude the tournament.
