A-State Begins Sun Belt Outdoor Championships

JONESBORO, Ark. (5/10/19) – For the first time as a member of the Sun Belt Conference, Arkansas State played host to the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships with day one ending under the lights with the 10,000 meter run.

The A-State women totaled 18 points and are third in the standings entering day two behind leader South Alabama (44) and Louisiana (26.5). The men gathered five points and are in eighth in the standings. Coastal Carolina leads the men’s standings with 21 points.

Grace Flowers had the lone podium finish for the Red Wolves on day one, taking bronze in the hammer throw with a measurement of 55.
