BOONE, N.C. (9/29/17) – The Arkansas State women’s soccer team battled Appalachian State to a 1-1 draw Friday night in its first Sun Belt Conference road contest of the season at the Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex.

A-State (6-4-1, 2-2-1 Sun Belt) took a 1-0 lead in the 63rd minute when Taylor Schneider headed in a goal off a corner kick by Riley Ebenroth. The ball looked to have been saved by Appalachian State goalkeeper Taylor Ray, but the ball was ruled to have crossed the end line as the save was made, giving Schneider her second goal of the season.
