A-State Baseball Falls to UCA in Midweek Action

CONWAY, Ark. (5/8/18) – The Arkansas State baseball was tied with Central Arkansas 3-3 heading to the bottom of the fifth, but a sloppy inning that featured four walks, two errors, and two hits plated six runs for the home team to blow the game open as UCA defeated the Red Wolves 14-3 in a midweek contest Tuesday night at Bear Stadium in Conway, Ark.

A-State (17-27) began the game with a bang as Kyle MacDonald hit a two-run shot over the 15-foot wall in dead center in the top of the first. However, UCA (28-18) scored three in the bottom of the first, the last two on a two-run homer of its own from Josh Somdecerff, for a 3-2 edge.
